I just have a question about what to put with what. Am I right about the following?

- a lavender rooster with black mottle girls will produce black chicks that carry the mottle and lavender gene?
-a black mottle rooster with lavender mottle hens will produce black mottle chicks that carry the lavender gene?

And if I put the offspring from these two pens together I could get black and lavender mottle?
Am I missing anything?
Thanks in advance
Helen

I think that is right. The calculator says approx 12.5% lavender mottled, & approx 37.5% black mottled chicks could be produced when the progeny from both your initial matings bred together.
