unless you had said they were bantam i would have assumed large fowl.

does the front one go very dark in the face under stress?

nice show type birds.

age they stop laying can be around 5 years, less if they are fat. i suspect yours are fat. make them work for their feed, no food in dishes and plenty of green grass. perhaps somone can tell you what to feed them to bring weight down but get them to dig and walk for their food and reduce the calories. whole grain scattered around gives them something to search for.

 Cai i'd be fatt(er) if i lived in your chicken pen
In fact when i retire can i come live out in the pen??
The girls certainlly had the good life so now we can just put them into chicken boot camp :)
So knock the feed off and make them work ..can do..will put them out on the grass today and chuck some grain in will be a win win situation for me..knock the weigt off the girls and have my grass munched down...maybe i should go munch grass too might help lose weight
Thanks for the info Ruff im sure there will be more questions later on.
Cheers HH
