There are two breeds of OEG recognised in England: Oxford and Carlisle. Oxford are the "original" type i.e. they are more or less unchanged from the fowl that were used in the pit centuries ago. The Carlisle is the "exhibition" type, with features selected more for the showpen with little conservation of pit utility or original breed features.
Both breeds exist in Aus, and you also tend to find a mid-way type which I believe is (or was) mostly the result of crossing Oxford on Carlisle.

Another way to describe the difference is that Oxford types are upright and lean, while Carlisle is flatter in the back and stockier. Carlisle seems to be commonly found in bantams.

Unfortunately, in Australia the two separate strains haven't been properly recognised as, indeed, separate strains, which leads to a lot of tension when it comes to shows/exhibitions of OEG.

The photographed brown red hen looks quite stocky and flat in the back, hence the suggestion that she might be Carlisle type. From some people, this is apparently an insult. I'd ignore the potential insult and just discuss the parts of the bird that you find attractive as a brown red OEG.

No insult intended, just a statement of my observation. I hope it wasn't intended as such.
