Can a hen be infertile.
I have a Faverolles hen that I rarely seem to get any fertile eggs from.
I know which hen it is as her eggs are slightly larger than the other hens in that pen.
I know it is not the rooster as all the other eggs develop and hatch.
He seems to do the job with this particular hen as well, so I am thinking it must be an issue with her.
Thoughts???

most certainly. any animal can have fertility issue.

it may be worth trimming her vent, to see if that makes a difference, it could be the sperm is not reachign her cloaca as she may have particularly fluffy bum.........................if this still makes no difference she is possibly infertile.

sometimes being very closely related can do it...throw her in with some mongrel ckl and you can get 100%. also roosters can favour some hens and dislike others.
