here the 2 cockerels I bought from Steve Stubb ( Golburn Heritage poultry ) they are from AVGEN stock .
1 is a French type feathered shank the other is English type clean shanks and tall on his leg .
the English one is sick ( sneezing ) got the cold . he is istill in the quarantine area with a pullet a got with them ,she is crooked too .

any way the French type is great ,healthy and running around .
I build him a pen outside in the orchid among the trees . he will be happy ,soon he will be joined with 4 Black copper marans hens .

here few pic of them 2 and the new outdoor pen

I m trying my best .
this chooks need a good life .

here some up date about the coop almost done . only doors are left . I ll do later when I finish all the coop . they are just for cleaning .

the Birchen are already in tonight . so when they wake up they find them selves in a new place , they have to come out by them selves in the morning ,so they remember the way back .

only the chooks wire left to do .I ll do that early morning before I let them out . couple hours work. no much .

File comment: the zinc is going to be taking of when the doors are ready . the door is going to be used for the feed . under the coop .way from the wild bird.

File comment: the plywood is going to be replaced with a door .to make the cleaning easier .
the right narrow door is for the chooks to come in and out . need a rump .

File comment: I need to put a zinc sheet on the bottom to keep the run and the wind . I need to keep this small place dry ,so when does rain they can go under the coop or inside the coop . they chose

Looking good Jose, nice land you got to rent in Tahmoor, quiet street. Hope you getting plentynof chicks soon. I have got now chicks and broodies sitting everwhere, and have run out of places to put them  .. jose would you be interested in using big red the marans cross hen, lays a reasonable brown egg and she is so big, bigger than Pierre, if you have a big wheaton roo she would be nice to try.

thank for the offer but my hand are full . too many hens .I have a third of them in the layer pens .no much space in my unlucky incubator.

I m well happy with the land . well suited for breeding chooks .nice and quite Except 3 roosters crowing all the time .

nice you are having chicks from Pierre . let see how they feather up .

cheers
