I hope to show my girls once they are old enough (they are 10 weeks now) and would like some advice as to their colouring. Would they be of an acceptable colour?
I'll attach pics.
I appreciate any advice. I've never shown before so go easy on me.
Naomi

My (not very good at Silky colouring) guess is Buff, Silver, Buff?, Buff.
They are really too young to guess at the quality of their colouring as for showing the pattern (colour distribution) is also important. What counts most is type (body shape, posture) and sometimes presentation (the way they stand and behave with the judge). Do you have a copy of the Australian Silkie Standard? -this is the description of what they will be judged on.

Here is a link to the Silkie Breed Profile

Found the Silkie Standard for you

Meadowbrook for the real Silkie fanatics who are generous with advice I'd have to say the Silkie facebook groups, Silkie Club, Wonderful Silkies etc are the best. And I am not not a fb groups fan, they are in general a pit of bad information, bad advice and (unlike this forum) not to be trusted. But the Silkie ones - yes, best showing and colours information and encouragement.
