Is it just the time of the year,or is there always a shortage of buying good laying chooks, been trying to buy a few Australorps pullets but can't get any in my erea,I'm not looking to buy interstate because I'm not keen to pay frieght that cost more than the chooks, was hoping the summer months there mite be a few more around,
There's heaps of isa Browns around but not keen on those,is it out of season maybe ?
I'm in central west Nsw if anybody is wondering

Marlin, it might be worth your while to attend a local show -You should be able to make contact with some breeders. Many are listed on our calendar. The auctions are another option.

Thanks again sue, your my biggest fan haha
Iv joined a few poultey clubs sites on facebook in my erea,so I get the show dates and auctions that are coming up,thought that mite be the best way to find some,iv missed to a couple of recent sale shows that I probley could've picked up a few pullets,so that was a bummer,I mite be better off waiting for the right ones with abit of quality and buy of a show breeder I was thinking
Thanks again sue

Have you surfed sites like farmstock-poultry for sale and gumtree, if you keep your eye on these sites they might pop up. On gumtree you can save a search and get alerts when they come up in the ads. Auctions are a good choice.
