Hi, I am looking at starting to breed free-range chickens. My current breeds are Barred Plymouth Rock, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Gold Laced Wyandotte, Blue & Black Australorps, and Silkies. I have one spare pen left and I am stuck on what breed to put in it. So far trying to choose between Sussex, Brahma, Orpington, and Araucana. I cannot decide which one, I am looking for something that's starting to be popular so that they're easier to sell. Thoughts?

Depends on your pocket, Vorwerks are selling well. Barnevelders are always good movers.

Hi!
I came to this forum because I am new to breeding! My black Silkie roo managed to fertilize the minty blue eggs of my leghorn Araucanian mix.
What can I expect? :clnava

expect a mixture of few type .if your silky is pure solid black ,than most of the chicks will be black .
egg colour of the pullets will be different too ,some white ,some blue and maybe few different new color like pink ,
post photos of the chicks when they hatch .
