It's lovely. It must be a clone of an awarded plant as a FCC is a first class certificate. You're doing well. Do you have a warm greenhouse?

No greenhouse just staying under large shrubs and I just took it out of the rain before the flower buds got big.
I mix my own fertiliser that might help.

They love humidity. I used to have a row hanging over a fish pond next to a brick wall & automatically misted them a couple of times a day. They did really well. Alas that was BC (before children). We're in a family friendly house now. Only brought a couple of vandas with me.

Do you grow any terete or semi terete orchids like this one.

Cottagegirl, vanda orchids dont really need any potting mix or even a pot, they are quite happy just hanging in the air. This is a close up pic of a pot. Really its just a place-keeper as its an empty plastic slotted thing with the spanish moss draped over it.

Thanks, it would take awhile for them to feel secure though, wouldn't they? I saw some amazing ones at Dennis Hundscheidts tropical garden a few weeks back, they were just sitting in empty pots as well. I'm looking forward to see our Orchid show tomorrow in Canungra
