I struggled and struggled with whitefly this year. Plague proportions killed a very large and previously healthy fuschia, devastated tomatoes, broccoli, cucumbers etc.
I tried white oil, natural sprays and finally repeated and repeated doses of confidor. The confidor only would kill a percentage, maybe 40% of them.
They were out of control. I read about the parasitic wasps but you need to keep them confined in a greenhouse and my crops are outside. Plus I don't know where to get them.
Now Melbourne is miles away from QLD, but it sounds like they are down here too.

i also had an unusually high infestation of whiteflies on my tomatoes, cucumbers and beans. Tried spraying them regularly but i just couldnt put a dent in their population.
