Have a look at the ABC website, on The Cook and The Chef,

http://search.abc.net.au/search/search. ... =artichoke

Brings up quite a few.

Good question Christian. I have just planted a couple of plants after not having them for a few years. I love them, but I just end up doing the boring boiling thing with some vinagrette afterwards. Hubby thinks they taste woody, but I would have them everyday if I could grow enough!
Will be nice to have a few different recipies. Post the ones you come across that are nice. My globes aren't ready yet.

There are 16 recipes here... http://www.cuisine.co.nz/index.cfm?page ... 79AC1AE09C

You may find some are for jerusalem artichokes, but at a quick glimpse I definitely saw that some were for globes.
I find that most of the recipes from that magazine work very well if done as written.
There are actually 2 pages of recipes there - don't forget to hit the "page 2" button.

Hey Tried this one during footy final, have with a beer or your favourite white:

Carciofi (Artichokes)

Serves 4 as an appetiser

Ingredients

12 artichokes
1 lemon
4 bay leaves
6 peppercorns
5 cloves garlic, chopped
125 mL olive oil
juice of additional lemon
125 mL white wine
parsley

Method

1. Peel artichokes and remove outer leaves until you are left with the heart. Scrape away the prickly choke and cut remaining flesh into quarters.

2. Rub artichokes with the lemon so they won’t discolour. Put them into a baking dish with the bay leaves, peppercorns and garlic, and drizzle with the olive oil.

3. Bake in a moderate to hot oven, approximately 180°C for about 30 to 40 minutes.

4. Remove from oven, squeeze with lemon juice. Add white wine and chopped parsley.

5. Serve as antipasto, or stir through pasta.

Cheers

Christian
