I have a glut of hit chillies.

Does anyone have a chilli sauce recipe please? Preferably not a sweet chilli sauce.

:thanks:

Chillis - chopped or whole with green bit removd
Onions
Tomatoes
Sugar - to taste
Vinegar - a splash

Into a pot and boil until nice and thick. Sometimes I puree with handheld blender to make smooth sauce and sometimes I leave chunky.

Quanties of ingredients doesn't matter. I just use what I have.

Heat glass jars, fill and seal.

Not a sauce as such but...

Fiery Chilli Relish

1 cup finely chopped chillies
1 cup finely chopped apple
1 cup caster sugar
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup white vinegar
Salt and ground pepper to taste

COmbine all ingredients in a pan, stir over heat without boiling, until sugar has dissolved.
Bring to boil - leave 5 minutes, then simmer uncovered until mixture is reduced and well thickened.
Spoon into sterilised jars and seal while hot.

My huby is a chilli lover and this one is a favourite of his :)
