Milo's bargain with the devil, or hot smoked chili powder

Grow a mix of chili such as Fatalii, Ghost & Moruga Scorpion (I should have taken photos before picking and smoking most of the crop)

Hot smoke in a hooded barbecue on oven racks for 5 or so hours (this lot I smoked with darjeeling tea and redgum)

And grind in a spice grinder

This gives off the most amazing aroma while smoking and an amazing smoky/citrus/fruity & Freaking HOT chili powder which is simply stunning in southern style fried chicken

I also tend to add it to my dinners much to the disgust of my wife - but hey some like it hot

Cheers, Milo.
I observe in fascination a worm move by peristaltic action through the freshly turned earth as I plant out my chilies. Grasping the Annelid I toss it to the waiting pack of beady-eyed vultures and watch the ensuing mayhem while laughing like a chook!

Great idea :-D although I may not tell my OH about it until I have vetted the chilli patch!

Wow - that sounds amazing - my OH would be very happy to be a taste tester for you!

I am always searching out new super hot chilli products for him as his addiction to chilli is rivalled only by mine to chooks*

Have you ever thought of selling it Milo?

From the quick Google search I did on "Buy Smoked Chilli Powder" you wouldn't have any competition here in Australia! It would have to come from the US.

I'd market it under "Milo's Bargain with the Devil" :laughing

*I try to grow a bush or two of hot chillis for him but sadly, my addiction keeps eating his
