Hi Mat

Look in Australasian Poultry Mag. I think they have someone in there that does wire cage fronts that can put you onto someone.

Just a quick follow up? Did you find anyone that sells training pens in flat packs?

Mat, and Show Rooster, they are simple enough to make. I would use 100 x 50 mesh(heavy enough gauge so it will free stand, and flat iron sheeting for divisions, and top.
You can also put a flat iron floor on them, but it starts to get cumbersome, you are better to have a portable floor, because when you set them up, you really want the birds at waist height at least.
We used this type of portables for some time, but eventually I bought cage fronts, and made them a fixture.(pics of our fixed training cages can be found in BYP gallery.
Back to the flatpack, Make them 600 x600 x 600, and no more than four to a pack, or they become hard to handle.
The only tools you need are an angle grinder with metal cutting discs, a pair of pliers,a drill to drill the holes in the flat iron, and a roll of tie wire. One tip, fix divisions to one side, and the top to the other,do not fix the division to both sides permanently,as unless everything is absolutely cut perfectly it will not fold flat when not in use. . You sound like a couple of keen young blokes. so if you put your mind to it you will be surprised how easy they are to make.

I know this is an old thread, but the question remains, is there a known source for flat pack training pens? I'm time poor and would really rather just buy some second hand or flat pack.

Cheers,
Dave.
