yes, especially on the blacks, even toes that are half yellow. sometimes i get birds with dark blue legs so i cull them just in case someone takes offence. icannot understand why piles and whites are allowed yellow prefered to willow. blacks are impossible to get willow unless you get red/silver in the plumage.

Fantastic idea! Can you please do eye and leg colour for Pekin and full size OEG? I'd love to know before I go and make a possible show fool of myself.
Thanks Dwayne

Hi Dwayne,
Have you had a look at the Chook Breed Profiles? There is the standards information in there too regarding leg and eye colour.

Thanks for that . No mention of eye colour so maybe it's not an issue .
Cheers

OEG - depends on the colour. Normally red, but black in some of the darker colours, particularly tose with dark (gypsy) faces and a white legged white bird can have pearl eyes. Red is the most common though.

I do like the gypsy face OEG Hardfeather

A question on toe colour though in australorp. I have a lovely young pullet with one black toenail. Given that legs and feet are worth only 5 points in the APS2 for australorp is she worth showing or not bother? Soles are nice and white and legs black.

If the bird is good type. I think it will be fine redjohanna, I had black rosecomb bantams and every bird had some white and some black toenails. So I never showed them, I was talking to a mate at the club and he came around for a look. He took one look at my birds and promptly told me " your too darn picky" so I showed them, I won champion softfeather- odd coloured nails and all.
