I have a pair of Large Indian Game that I got 3weeks ago. I bought site unseen and they had scaley leg :( Obviously they had been like that for a while as they have big, rough scales on there feet.
I would like to clean them up and get them ready to be shown, any tips on softening up there legs to get them back to normal asap?

Thanks

Do you mean that they have an infestation of scaly leg mite? If so, first step would be to kill the mites.

If that has been cleared up, there is still advice on softening and eventual removal of raised scales in the treatment threads. It may take quite some time. ;-)

These entries under S in the A-Z of Good Samaritan Centre may be of assistance:

SCALY LEG MITE -1
SCALY LEG MITE - 2
SCALY LEG MITE - 3

:-)

You need to provide pictures to determine what you are meaning e.g. mite or a build up of scales that are normal with OEG .Because the treatment of both is very different.
But regardless of which showing this year may be not in the equation .
