Sue, I wouldn't worry too much. In your last pics it is not as pronounced, and a cockerel I had some years ago actually came up fantastic.
Wait and watch and learn, I think. And take pictures.
They look good.

Well I bit the bullet and entered a Croad Langshan hen and a pullet in the Canberra/ Queanbeyan Show (thanks eggy - your selections) The hen took out Best Rare Breed Soft Feather. Hopefully some of last seasons pullets are hers and Reggy's.

Thank you, she had some reasonable competition, but no other Croads unfortunately. Hope to see some in Royal Canberra next year. Happy to be an 'also ran' there.
eggy, yes, she's the hen that you kept going back to, thanks, learnt heaps from your visit.

I'll be there for the rare breeds show long weekend in June with fingers crossed a few

Peter Cliff was the judge (I think).It was pleasing to watch him explaining to his steward what he was looking for in the Croads, so I was happy to know that she was well judged.
