Hi

I'm only at my farm about three days/nights a week but would like to get some geese (I had them as a kid - a long time ago - and have a sentimental attachment).

I don't want to cage the geese apatrt from a night house unless there is absolutely no alternative. This also means that there will be times when they are unattended a few days a week at times.

Foxes are a big problem around here but we have a dam about 500 metres from the house. Can I house geese on a house built on a pontoon that I float on the dam? Will they swim to it? And more importantly, will foxes swim to it?

Thanks for your help

Andrew

I was looking forward to the answer and had to go searching for it :)

For anyone else who, like me, is interested in learning about geese.

At the moment, I can only dream about keeping some. :D
