I just wanted to share some information that may help someone else...
A few months back my goose started becoming un coordinated, he kept falling over and stumbling, his neck would be off to the side, it seems to happen virtually overnight, I had no idea what was wrong, I asked goose breeders but no one seem to know what it could be. I was worried he had swallowed something... one day he seemed to be not to bad, then next day or later the same day, he would start again...
I took him to the Vet clinic where I work, my vet said his nevous system was the cause of his uncoordination etc, but it is hard to tell what the problem may be...
He suggested vitamin B1... I separated him from the other geese, he has now been on 1/2 a tablet once a day for about 3 weeks and he has improved greatly, we have the occassional unsteadiness, but nothing like before... He would just fall over and sometimes struggle just to try and get up... everything else seemed to be ok, he would eat, drink and preen himself...
Hopefully this may help someone else if they every come across this problem...
I would like to hear if anyone else has experienced this and what they did...
