Under the right conditions not uncommon 20+ years have seen some research that talks 80 years. :lol: :lol:

the lighter breeds mature faster and are in their prime about 5-6 years. They can live to 20, but proably more realistically 12-15.

Heavy breeds do live much longer, and are in their prime towards the end of life.

Although they will live for a long time, they may only lay for the first 10 years, but unlike chooks they increase each year for the start, before they start to decline.
