This is my whole backyard duck family. I'm about to rehome the 2 brown drakelings and one of the brown ducks and my drake and get a new drake in for next season.

Check out the size of Sven my posted egg Blue Swedish! He's only 7 weeksish. The same as the 2 brown drakelings and my youngest blue fawn duck.

And this is mum duck in the foreground and her 4 babies. Aww. So cute.

PS. I think Sven is a boy.

Sven was standing taller than all of his family by week 3!
Hubby kept saying how our bantam ducks aren't that small, well they sure look small when you put a medium sized duck in the mix.

They are looking fantastic - theyr'e in great condition. The blue fawns really are gorgeous. And Sven is a handsome fella. He does looks kinda boyish to me too.

My drake and Puffin have just finished moulting. Now Huffin (mum duck) is moulting. I have a yard full of feathers. Fortunatly all the wild birds quickly steal them to make their nests.
Hopefully this time next year I have a few apricots to show you.

Sven doesn't quack, so I guess he's a boy. He'll need to find a new home shortly. He's so pretty though. Can't wait to see him when he has all his adult feathers. He still has a lot of fluff. His head has just changed from grey to a shiny deep grey/black.
