Good morning,Or muscovy duck has blessed us with 15 ducklings, they are 4 weeks old now and I was hoping that somebody can assist me in how to sex them, I believe that it has something to do with wing feathering and the size of the legs,is this correct?
This is our first time with breeding muscovy's, any info will be greatly appreciated.

cheers

I find that the best early indicator with Mussies is the slower feathering on the males (they will have relatively bare shoulders cf with the females). They will also grow much bigger. It's hard to judge legs - they won't all stand still at the same time. Eventually the ducks will quack (in a mussie sort of a way) and the drakes will hiss.
Wish my mussies would do something about ducklings - this year they have stubbornly failed to proceed to mother hood.
