I am adding this link here because there has been some discussion that some stockfeed manufacturers have increased the proportion of sorghum in their mixes.

Ergot affected and mouldy sorghum

The stockfeed grain buyers refuse to purchase ergot affected grain because they don't want to be sued by their customers.

I guess if you were purchasing pellets from a less than professional manufacturer then it could be a problem.
