Found this while I was strolling through the book shop today. Of course had to take it home with me. Beautiful art work throughout the entire book. Not a huge amount of information but the lovely paintings make up for that. Worth a look at I think. Forward written by Prince Harry, sorry Prince Charles. (Edited)

They're fantastic watercolours, aren't they?

Good timing because I've just started looking for a good book of chook breeds, with colour pictures. Photos would be ideal but the quality of this artwork could well be a very solid substitute.

This is the author and artist's website: http://www.celialewis.co.uk/ The book can be ordered directly from there. She also has other chicken-related things like cards, cushions, etc.

I've found the book at Dymocks online - $40. This suggests it should be fairly readily available throughout Australia at local bookshops.

It is a beautiful looking book. Are you sure that the foreword is by Prince Harry though? I though that the Prince of Wales was Prince Charles.

CathyS, I think you might be right. It does say in it "My grandmother, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Keep Buff Oringtons.....
So that would make it Charles. The signature just looked like it said Harry, my mistake.
It is a lovely book, I bought mine at Dymocks, $39.99. I think all the other info has now been posted.
The Illustrated Guide To Chickens, How to choose them, How to keep them, By Celia Lewis.
Glad to bring it to all's attention, great chooky chritmas presant.
