Hi everyone. I have just launched a new website today dedicated to poultry that I am hoping will be of interest to many of you and would love you to have a look at it. I am not sure if my posting the link through would be considered as spamming so I thought I would ask first. Is it ok to post it?

We were hoping you would.

A poultry-related site link is not considered spamming. BYP supports the promotion of poultry and that includes other related sites.

It can be helpful to your site to have the url in your signature line here. The google bots pick it up and it lifts your site ranking. You need a fair few posts for that to be helpful though.

Thanks Pheonix for your reply. I just wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing.

So.....Introducing http://www.chook%20Trader.com.au.

I developed Chook Trader because I felt that there was a need for a site that made buying and selling poultry easier. As I said earlier, it was launched today so is very new and I would love to hear your thoughts, comments and feedback. I am really committed to making the site as user friendly as possible and your comments will be appreciated.

If you have any poultry or poultry products to sell - you could be the first to list! I have advertising coming out in a few magazines over the next few months so it might just open your adverts up to a new market!

Thanks, Jo
(and thanks for the tip. I will update my profile now with the weblink.)

It is a great looking sight not cluttered and easy to navigate.
Hope it goes really well for you.

Hi again. Thanks for you positive comments. I have had some great feedback from several different areas saying that it has a great layout, that there is a need and that it looks easy to use which is wonderful and encouraging to hear however the success of the site will be reliant on people using it. I know you have all seen other sites come and go and some of you might be a bit wary of newcomers.

I have had some good feedback and now I ask (nervously) for the bad and the ugly.......... If you have the time, I would really appreciate your feedback on anything that might stop you using the site. Or, if you have something to list and would like some support or would just like to ask a few questions, my contact number is Ph: 04 22 731 681 (I can call you back to save you the mobile charge). I will be in this evening, tomorrow morning (Thursday) before 7.15am or after 3pm and most of the weekend.

12 months on and the site looks quite nice. Seems fairly easy to navigate.

My only disappointment was that there was only 2 adverts for chooks in South Australia... It seems the poultry people in this state are either non-existant or already formed into a tight community.
