:thanks:

I had a look on AP's Facebook page, (see this thread: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8005931), to see if the order form may be available there for those who are not AP subscribers, but it doesn't seem to be. I'll talk to the other Admin to see if we may be able to make the order form available on BYP.

I have also been asked by the Standards committee if I can put an order form on our website which is probably the same form. I tried the link geoff posted earlier today but it was password protected, so will include the file below also.

I have been notified that a couple of photo hiccups have occured, and don’t expect a copy until mid January at earliest now. Like everyone I am looking forward to the book coming out :)

For anyone recommending to their local/council library the purchase of this new publication this is the sort of info that you may be required to provide:

I provided this to my library either last year or earlier this year for another poultry publication. The response was yes, they would consider my request but preferred to wait until the new edition became available. The above is a copy from my local council library.

Last time it was just the cover that was different and it had a stamp inside with copy number and editors signature.

Last time the limited edition was limited to 500 copies and were all numbered and signed by the Chief Editor - James Bishop. They had a leather cover whilst the normal edition was a hardback. I would hope they have a higher re-sale price!!

Hi,
We ordered one of each, the same as we did for the 1998 1st edition. In 1998 we got a beautiful leather bound in the Limited Edition.
The 2012 Limited Edition is in an awful puce pink in a rather unattractive case-binding Bookcloth.
The 2012 hardback plain edition is much more attractive than the Limited. They are $90.00 and $120.00 respectively, plus delivery of $13.00.
We would have prefered to have paid an extra $10.00, or even $20.00, for the Limited Edition to get it leather or simulated-leather bound.

Pictures of both books can be seen here: http://www.australorps.com/snippets_30.html
and ordered here: http://australorps.com/doc/2nd_Edition_Standards_Order-Form.pdf

Cheers from Wendy :o

Incredible demand at the National for the new Standard. Copies on offer sold out before lunchtime Friday.

Yes, I was too slow and had to order one (from the Australorp club). They said they'd be posting them ASAP this week. Can't wait to get mine!
