Manna gum, I noticed this pic in your post about utility breeds.
I'm just so interested in this article, picture and topic, but find it difficult to read. I wonder if you would pm me a copy??
How did you ever get hold of this?

Can I send you anything in return?

Happy to globi. If you pm me an email address, I'll send you a larger file size. There's a couple of other Langshan articles here that I'll send you that may also be of interest.

No, just spare a thought for the old strains that have given us our current show fowl.

This is a very interesting article, I now see why the blue langshan has lacing. I would still rate them one of the most productive show birds today for utility traits.

Globi the cock bird that you have there that was bred here is related to these birds. There's a very interesting story behind this flock which became badly inbred through line breeding within a very limited gene pool but was pulled back from the brink through increasing genetic diversity through a radically different breeding program.

I have a selection of notes, photos of specimens and videos taken of presentations. Unfortunately, I can't embed video here and some of them have people in them that may not want to be publicly online. There is also nowhere on here that is private where I am permitted to post poultry content. If you email me I will send you whatever I can. I found it all very interesting.
