On page 476 of it it has this..
Which sounds very much like the moden show oeg in Australia.. Were with what people call oxford are not rounded or globe sharp..
You just opened up a new can of worms..

i don't think it opens a can of worms at all, as it say's "when Trimmed", there for the bird shouldn't look (to the eye) unduly rounded and stunted while in full feather.
All this backs up the essentials of judging by handling and feel of a game bird and not by looks.......
thanx for the link Terrier-Man, i have enjoyed the read thus far.

plenty points of interest in this read, one in particular........

something a lot of exhibition birds these days can't contest to.
