I doubt I will be entering anything. The only thing worthy I think would be the Speckled hens but I can't keep them clean..because of all the rain the red is redder than normal because of the rooster..'doing his thing' and the sussex hens are red now as well..LOL I don't have the facilities to wash and keep them clean away from the rooster and the mud.
I'll wait for the next one..cause as they say..Patience is a Virtue.!

Inside a show pen is fine. My only concern is that the wire can often be a dissapointing distraction (also most cameras will focus on the wire, at the expense of the bird not being in focus). My recomendation is to have a show pen where the cage front can be removed :D so a clear photo of a relaxed bird should be much easier to achieve than in some other circumstances, especially if they are used to being in a show pen

WHAT A NIGHTMARE :!: I have spent the whole day washing chooks and taking photos.90 photos in fact! The pullets are grubby from never having been locked up off the red dirt and I couldn't get the white very clean. Did my best though and she is so clean compared to the others. I know my pullets have their faults  but I was afraid that there would be too few entries so decided to give it a run anyway. Would be a shame to have no entries. Andy I hope I sent all the right information and all the right way. I apologize if I there are any problems. Thank-you BYP for finding a way for newcomers to get their showing toes wet without the need to face all the exhibitors in person :!: I'm sure my antics while trying to photograph those chooks would have made a funny sight. My son was busy trying to scare them into flapping away the WHOLE time, waving sticks, roaring past on squeaky trike, throwing his ball and rolling around laughing when I scowled, for 3 hours :!: . I was ready to send the whole crew off to another country by the time I finnished  It was worth it :D :D :D

Hi Ducksrkool,

I couldn't get them to take a decent photo next to the can so I entered a not so great one with the can as my fifth photo! I thought that was a bit sneaky, but I hope it's OK. It gives an idea of size which I understand is all it is supposed to do!

NellyG
