Hi Andy, sounds great
What about a True Bantam class.
A list of breeds for the Rare Breeds section.
Just a few thoughts that could help.
Seeing there is no entry fee, I will be sending a small donation with my photos to help with things.
Regards
Mario

This is great.

Could we expand on the waterfowl section - or do you want to wait and see how many waterfowl are entered.

Regards

Honk

Little Chicken: I thought we could use the standard VPFA class numbers
schedule of class numbers. Thanks for thinking of a small donation :D Our second show, we can start asking for an entry fee.

Tribe of Honk:It will be interesting how many entries we get. :D We can always add more categories for wf if we get a lot of quackers & hissers

Hopefully we can all get our cameras and chooks to do what we want, and get a few entries :D I still havnt worked out how I will get my untrained young dotte bantam roosters to pose. Might have to put a wall of coke cans in the backyard  or make a pen up without a front or maybe tether them

Thanks Allison,
Will be good to get your entries 8)

I am sure on a nice sunny weekend, we can get enough good photos to put a few entries in :D

Also good news is we have a judge!

Michael Holmes is an ALL breeds judge, and is a well known breeder and judge of both waterfowl AND dryfowl :D

I plan to create a special section on the website to display the online shows. After the entries are received, they will be collated and put on display in their classes (for public viewing). After the judge has given his feedback (he wont know who owns the birds), his comments and the exhibitors name will then be added to the gallery of photos, along with awards of which won each. So you will be able to see your exhibits compared before and after judging :D

I would like to enter but most of my chooks are in moult and look dreadful.
Why have a show during the moult season?

Teela:
This is BYP's first show. It is planned to have a show every 3 months, should this one prove successful :D So hopefully you will be able to make it for our next one. Autumn is a great time to start sorting out young stock.

If your in the more southern parts of Australia (as I am), Hopefully your birds will grow some new plumage soon, as cold weather can be very hard on birds that decide to moult late in the season.

Yay!! :D I hope this weekend has some sunshine so I can take some pics. I'm not going to wash any of them though, getting too cold now to be having wet birds. I hope this will be OK?

Getting my Silkies to stand up straight might be the problem. When I put them down on a table or something, they tend to crouch, and wait to be picked up and moved again.

Andy, if pic 1 or pic 2 doesn't clearly show feet and the 4th and 5th toe is obscured by fluff and feathers, can I use the 5th pic as a close up of feet and toes?

Cheers,
Jamie

A close up of the feet is a great idea for the 5th photo 8) I know from experience that silkies can be very hard to photograph, but I'm sure you will get some good shots with a little patience :D

Hopefully others will get some entries in over the weekend also, as it would be nice to get a lot more entries (hint hint)
