Overall Judge's Comments:

Thanks to all the exhibitors for entering such a good number of birds. Its always an honour to judge and this on-line show is no exception. The big disadvantages with an online show is a) you can't handle the birds and b) you can't see how they move. This is particularly difficult when judging game bird as movement and condition cannot be accessed by photos. Hence I suspect that if I was able to physically judge the hard feather birds my accessment may have been somewhat different.

Congrats to all exhibitors but particularly the owners of the Langie pullet and White Leghorn Ckl. 2 great birds that I suspect would have done well at any “real” show they were entered for during 2009.

Also thanks to Mel and the Byp mob for giving me the opportunity to judge.

If any exhibitor would like to futher discuss their birds with me, you are welcome to pm me.

Happy 2010 to all.

Denis P Lyne

Based on traffic lights, colours are awarded as follows:

Green indicates that the exhibit is considered show quality (those that, with good management and preparation, could do well in an exhibition)

Orange indicates breed quality (those that are reasonably true to standard and, with good management, should breed better quality stock

Red indicates garden stock. Birds with one or more faults according to breed standard, but good birds to have in the garden or pets.

I would also like to Thank everyone involved with this show. It would be a lot of work to collate photos- and sort through them for judging. Also for those who entered their birds- I only had one- but I imagine some of you had a task to photograph as many birds as you did.

Hope you all had as much fun as me with this one- And hope to see some nice birds again in the next comp.

Thanks Mel for once again organising another online show. Thanks Denis Lyne for judging the show, I know it isnt an easy task and it takes alot of time to do so. Congrats to all the winners and also to those that took the time to enter.

Colin, the can is hers. I dont drink, I left that bad habit back in america. I would rather spend my money on my chooks than on drinking it away.
