would it be possible to have a comments section in the online poultry show, where you can add comments on your bird (you would just add the comments to your pics when you email them).
For example, you could say, "she is 18 months old and weighs 3.0kg, do you think this is to heavy?" The judge would then say his opinion.

Of course, you wouldn't want people swaying the judges opinion, by saying things like "her back is actually flatter than that," as the judge should go by the photos.

I don't know if it is any good, just a suggestion. Please don't hesitate to point out any flaws, but I thought it could be handy for inexperienced people (like me) to learn a bit more.

That is a possibility Scott. Thank you for the suggestion. It would be up to the Online Show manager as to whether the comments would be passed onto the judge so any question of influencing would be screened. We could perhaps add a field for particular questions/feedback to the entry form. :-)

yes thats a great idea!
I just thought we could make it a bit more like a real show, being able to ask questions.

At the moment there is a box field for your message and I thought any comments or questions could go there.

If it doesn't work, what would be useful? A bigger one? A second one?

that looks fine, if it doesn't work you could put another box in and label it 'comments/questions' or something like that, but I think it would be easy enough to put comments in the same box as your message.
Did you just draw up the form then? I've never seen it.

Also, where would you put the age (ckl, plt etc.) on the form?

It was there already. I did it a month or so ago. The link is at the top of the Online Poultry Show Forum area.

The reason I put six image attachment buttons is because for one entry, people give a number of different photos - as per the instructions. So the description of whether that is a cockerel or a pullet or whatever can go in the comment box, or on the file name of the photo.

I would recommend that you use a new form for each fowl entered.

I can change 'your message' to 'comments / questions' if you think it is better.

Do you think it will be possible to use this form for the 11th online poultry show, or is it too late? It would be good if we could try it out so early.
