The difficulty with online shows is that although people like the idea of the them, when it comes to submitting entries they don't come in.

An alternative way to run it could be to not have a closing date, but to say the competition will be judged when a certain number of entries do come in. Then anybody who is getting impatient could help rustle up some more people to participate.

Another challenge is to find a moderator that would like to take care of it, receive the entries, upload them to the gallery and run the show. At the moment we do not have one so unless that changes there's no current plans for an online show.

I notice an increase in the number of people who want feedback on what people think of their birds, whilst others like to share photos just for the enjoyment and don't wish to have constructive feedback. Just thinking out loud here, but perhaps we could do something less formal and utilise the knowedge base we have on the forum for those people that want the opinions both good and bad, to help improve their birds. Perhaps continue with the requirements of the online show and email the photos, then the images can then be posted on the forum anonymously with the heading eg "Judge My Bird - Plymouth Rock Female". Of course if you are happy to let people know its your birds, you have the option of posting the images yourself also, but I think its nice sometimes to be anonymous and focus on the birds.

Perhaps rather than an online show where a lot of entries have to be recieved :flff , there could be individual judging of birds.

More like a "improve my line" suggestion thread. :clnava :duck2
