Wendyxoxo has chosen a great new topic for the next photo comp. So its time to get those cameras out and have some fun with this great new theme. Spring is now here and no doubt many of you are busy hatching - so you will all have plenty of opportunities to capture some great photos.

" Birds Behaving badly " is the new theme for this next competition

So get those cameras out and get your entries in!!

Competition closes October 31st . Submit your entries to bypphotocomp@gmail.com

Please make sure you follow the below guidelines - no photos already uploaded in your gallery are accepted in the comps.
1. All photos must follow the theme guidelines.
2. Entry is open to anybody with a BYP account.
3. Limit of 2 entries per user for each competition
4. The following adjustments are allowed:
a). Colour, sharpness, and contrast adjustments that affect the entire picture in the same manner.
b). Cropping
c). Adding a border
d). With the exception of the above, no other Photoshopping or editing is permitted.
5. Only enter photos to which you own the rights and you have taken personally.
6. Photos must be taken during the competition start and end date.
7. Entries may be used and published by Backyard Poultry in the future.

Full information on how to enter is available at http://www.backyardpoultry.com/old/inde ... /menu.html

Hi, Taylorducks! :hiya:

I noticed that there was an end date of Oct 31, 2015 but I can't seem to find any photos or winner announcements. :huh? Were there not enough photo entries for this particular comp? Maybe "Birds Behaving Badly" was a difficult one to photograph? Or are the winners posted somewhere? I'm trying to find out what the newest Photo Competition is, as I'd like to join in the fun.

Please advise.

Thank you in advance,
ChickyChooky

Sadly there was not a single entry in the last competition. Which is a real pity as they really were alot of fun and there were some great photos entered over the years.

Hopefully lots of members will read this - please post below to show interest in the photo comp and I am more than happy to get another up and running again.

YES YES YES :)

Especially as of late my girls have been behaving particularly badly *LOL*

1. Eating stuff they are not supposed to (special plants, my body parts when I try to feed them LOL)

2. Moving into and thus pooing on areas they are not supposed to be in, or even near to. *arggh*!

3. Some bullying (shame!!) Smack! Off to auction asap!! (too many birds for space available - sure they will do better in a bigger flock)

:)

They were fun, I think the topic chosen may have been a bit tricky.

Yes life got in the way here also - but a new camera has just been handed to me so no excuses now I guess. Bring it on: best intentions.

Ok so how about we get a replacement Comp 28 underway with an open theme to it ? Entrants would still need to give a caption to the photos entered but without an actual them it may help to get some interest back into the photo comps again. What do you all think?

I thought I'd missed out and that entries closed on 22 May. Right or wrong? What is or was the close-date??
