If the father was a RIR I would think the mother might have been a Game rather than the Australorp X's. It looks blue, does the brown game hen have any blue in it, if so that's your mother, if not I would say the White one is carrying blue, and is the mother.

here are two of the brown modern game hens chicks, so at the time of eggs collecting they would belong to the white modern hen so this blue or wat ever chick is hers,
the white hen is now sitting on 7 eggs of her own.. and no the brown hen does not have any blue, time will tell.. i'll post updated pics in the weeks to come...

The white hen is actually a splash hen and therefore carries the blue gene

blue partridge, on the red side, if a hen :?:

if a rooster will be a blue red.

better to show photos of potential parents and not hide any potential parents just to bring them out of the box after we have mulled over it for days.

no she is not the mother.

but the rir will put a lot of red into the chicks. the brown face says it is most likely one of the gamish hens. most likely that white one.

he is a big bird to have with such small hens.

Don't be so cranky ruff, the original post was only 24 hours ago! No doubt the white game is the mum.
