Hi Jacquie,
Yep definitely a young girl. She's a gold partridge the boys are black reds.
She's very cute a mini version of my big girls. :P
cheers 'Raine

yes she does have similar colouring to those other birds, she is a bit darker though, but i don't know if that is just because of her juvenile plumage.

hello 'raine!! long time no see! glad that she looks like mini-me of your birds  :P  :P

yes she is a partridge. just check to see if she is blue or not as i have blues as well. however i think she is a normal coloured partridge.

now what are you going to do with her? just what you needed was another breed

they are very tame so she will be hard to part with if you have her really tame.

k

i don't know
i thought i would get in touch with the game club of wa to see who else has aussie games over here, to source a male for her...................at least it was a girl that hatched out, i hope sourcing a male will be easier than sourcing a female.

she is slowly getting tamer, she lets me pat her when she is roosting, but screams like a banshee when i pick her up  i am just persisting, and she now will stay close when i am moving around the yard............................the progress made in one week, last week i couldn't get close enough to her to get a picture  :P  :P

ah yes they do have to be handled as chicks for best results. my original hens are tame and follow me around but the chicks i bred this year are not as i couldn't handle a hundred of them. i should handle some of the ones left as i want to show them. none of them are as bad as their father was, he was awful...that is why he was. my first chicks have just hatched chicks....i need to find them a home as much as would like to see them grow....except the one with feathers on its legs :bolt:

yes, I had a tiny suspicion it might be a girl (and I'm not trying to be boastful) but I didn't want to post it, because I wasn't sure. Hope this is what you wanted!
