How young can you start telling they are male/female from a photo? My chickens are 4 1/2 weeks old now. Too early to tell by picture yet?

First photo - not sure. The photos aren't really clear enough

Second photo - pullet on Left, cockerel on right

Third photo - Don't know anything about leghorns, but is standing like a boy!

1st photo(close up of head)= boy

2nd photo the red in front=boy the red behind= girl the black=girl

3rd photo = one of each sex not sure which is which

ok well first one is a boy, second one boy in front, red back girl, black left girl, third pic left one boy one all in pic girl and last pic girl.

Thanks - yeah I did have pics of them all up but it was too much so I took down the ones that I'm pretty sure are hens as they have no comb yet and good feathering. Darn - I think I only have 4 hens out of 11 hatched, and 2 hens I have promised to my brother in law...

Oh well, we'll be eating chicken for a while...

One of my broody hens just hatched out two and hopefully they will both be hens!

What do you think about this one:

I am really hoping it's my 5th girl.... I'm quite attached to 'Red' and if it turns out to be a rooster I may have to keep him anyway and forgo good neighbourly relations.... we are allowed to have a rooster, but have chosen not to so far to avoid any conflict with our neighours etc..

not sure about them, but alot look like cockerals. Sorry. Though Red might be a girl, I don't like your chances. :lol: Sorry.
