As most of you know I had some blue swedish (a pair and a black hen)
I have since moved them on but kept half a dozen of their eggs that I incubated. The blue drake liked one of my little mallards and I am wondering if I kept swedish hen eggs or mallard hen eggs as the trio of babies I got out of the six look absolutely gorgeous but small. They have all the typical traits of the swedish..with the bib etc. I got a blue(grey)splash a black and a chocolate one but they are all miniature versions of the large swedish. The chocolate could be from the chocolate runner?
I'll run out and get some photo's and put them up shortly and will be interested to hear the opinions of you all. Is it possible to have them all have swedish markings but just have the mallard sizing?

This one is the little pale grey coloured one with splashes of black and white

This is the dark male and you can't see in the picture but he has the gentle white tips on his wing feathers that the swedish are meant to have

This is the chocolate one..i'm considering this one was a runner cross..because I have chocolate runners.

There's one of the mallards in the background.

Yes that's Lucy and her daughter is the black one. The other blue one is the male I bought.
