Hi all im fairly new to the chicken world i have 2 GLW, 1 silver silky, all 4months and 2 6wk old WLW

would any one be able to post some pictures of a Hen and rooster of the GLW

we think they are hens, well we hope lol.

any advice would be great.

have loved reading everytihng sofar

It would be much easier for you to post a picture of your birds, so 'experts' can have a go at sexing them. Have a look in the Gallery under Chook Breeds and there should be some photos there. Here is a link to the First Page of Wyandottes

HI Sezza,

Welcome to BYP! Cackles has done an index Sticky at the top of this forum on different breeds and what they lok like at different ages... check that out too.

We'd love to see some pics of your birds if you can manage it, post them in this thread and some of our many clever members will try and help you determine what sex they are. if you need help getting pics loaded, check out the Tech Help forum here... :D

Hi Sezza, I'm not sure what you mean by "WLW " ! Could this be SLW (silver laced Wyandotte )?
Birds of this type and age will be easily sexed from photos (except perhaps the Silkie ) You haven't said if birds are standard or bantam !

Sorry i did mean silver laced. they are standard and the pekin is a bantam

i will try put up some pics now fingers crossed i get it right.

ahh the pics are to big can i email them to someone to edit and put up for me im at work i cant shrink them

thought i would give you the different head angles as they kinda look the same side on but from the front they look different
the one sitting on the B/F are is one and the same and the one with the carrier in the background is the same
