Hi,

I'm new to silkies, but have just hatched a batch of gorgeously chic chicks, some are going to be black or white, but have some coloured ones that I'd appreciate some help with :)

Colour 1, very cute, blue splash?

Colour 2, has apricot 'tips' and looks more 'coloured' than the ones I think will be white :)

Colour 3 - my favourite, looks like hazelnut gateau!!

Colour 4, blue?

Colour 5

They are just the cutest bunch!
TIA

what colour were the parents?

without knowing that yet i am going to guess
1.grey
2 & 3 white probably
4. black (unless there is blue in the parentage)
5. partridge

they are very cute!

Hi,

Dont know the colour of the parents, dubious supplier from Toowoomba region, I've learnt since ordering, will not be re-ordering from this person

Pleased with my little bunch though, and they are doing really well.

Thanks for your replies :) I will be very happy with any colour they turn out, and then have to figure out if they have any 'type' or not!!

my guesses are--silver or blue, white, white, brown red--just because of the ginger tinge around the eye , or if that is the lighting a blue and partridge----no real knowledge just guessing, cheers pam
