Hi, my barnevelder chicks are 3 weeks now. I think I have worked out who is who, but would love some comfirmation.

Appreciate your experience.

Your judgement looks right to me, though I'd say 6 is a boy as well. I usually find that chicks with a fleshy wide comb turn out to be cockerels. From top view the girls' combs are thinner and yellower.

With my barnie babies they way I can tell with in a week or two is the girls have little tale feathers and the boys do not yet. It works 100% of the time with mine but others maybe different

I put my answers under the photos in the gallery. For some reason I have only just found the post.
Number 6 is a boy.

All the rest were guessed right. 4 males , 3 females. (I suppose better than all males :roll:).

thanks everyone, I'm happy with 3 girls, especially if one turns out to be a buff barnevelder. This buff one has a well developed tail, so its looking good. :lol:
