Hi I brought in these posted eggs from a breeder in tassie, I got a great result with 10 from 12. The little black ones are black hens with lav roo and some (more than others) have these splash patches and are coming through with some white feathering...just wondering what colour you think they might be? I think they are cute

They are utterly gorgeous ellie01! :D The fluff looks so thick and soft, and the colour is just so cute. :)
Sadly, I'll have to say I think they may turn out pure black. I have had a lot of chicks who are up to half yellow on the front and then turn out pure black, apart from several who kept a grey/white chin and pink skin on their faces.
They would be very cute though if they did turn out white or lavender on the front and black on the back!
Cheers,
Cazz

That is the way to go with Lav . Back to black to help feather quality .

My chicks normally have pretty much adult colour by three weeks, and are fully feathered at 5-6 weeks. Cockerals though obviously aren't coloured like they will be, because they don't have their hackle feathers etc.

Could we have an update please?

I'd like to close the Index listing with an outcome if possible. :)
