I notice that this post was 3 yrs old and wondered what the sex outcome of these little guys were? Presumably boys?

I just read thru this post and noticed a couple of clues which were not mentioned.
Rocks have a sex linked slow feathering gene. The males have bare shoulders and buts until after their first moult. Males of both light barred and dark barred varieties appear lighter than the females because the white bars are wider than those of the females.
