Bunnings have them on long sticks in the cleaning dept.

No - seriously - you really want to know what it is? I believe it is a polish, possibly bantam, carrying a single copy of the frizzle gene.

Assuming it has actually got a tail, its a bantam frizzle poland. The colour is called chamois in the UK, but I believe it might be known as buff laced in Australia (?) And just to confuse matters further, polands are sometimes called polish!

Assuming it hasn't been visited by the neighbours cat it should have a tail.
Thanx for your help Mrs biscuit . Would you have suggestions as to where I can buy a few from?

Sorry, I'm not in Australia so I can't help you, but there is a member on here called Polishlady who might be able to help. Good Luck. They are great fun as a breed, usually very friendly (for a chook), with bags of personality :-D

with the grey legs I am tipping that it is a frizzle x silkie - girl, might have some polish in her too though coz that is an impressive hairdo lol

Hi Sanman,

this is a buff polish frizzle (is this your photo??).I managed to breed just one this year but lost her to a mystery illness at about 4 months old. Slate colour legs are typical of polish so probably no silky in there, hence no feathers on the legs. I'm am still going to keep on trying to breed more. So now fess up, where did you get yours from??

I agree Polish Frizzle, this little girl is the result of Frizzle (slate legs) x Indian.
