Here are the parents of our 'boys'. :) aren't they beautiful. The lady we acquired them from didn't know the breed and just thought a goose was a goose. I'm very new at the goose game myself but from a little research they look like Pilgrims/Aust.Settlers to me. Only thing is these guys are huge, definitely tipping the scale at more than the 5-8kg mark which Pilgrims reportedly are and they were standing around the 1m mark. I'm thinking they may be Pilgrim x Embden? Does anyone have any thoughts please? :huh?

Nice healthy birds . I think you are right they look to have some Embden in them . I think at least 3 of the goslings pictured will turn out white with perhaps a touch of grey ( couple of feathers only ) .

Thanks Martin, nice to know some of my researching has paid off. :) It turned out that 4 were girls and 3 boys. I have 2 of the boys and they're very handsome indeed, at this stage (6 weeks) when they spread their wings they have some dark flight feathers. Magnificent :)
Cheers!

They might be a couple of generations on from an Embden x Toulouse cross.
