Hey guys could anyone help with the identification of these chicks? They came with no information im assuming welsummer cross silkie but I have no real idea thanks for the help!

Too hard to tell at this stage, they could be a number of breeds. Post a pic in a few more weeks as they grow.

No silkie in there, at least not closely related. Leg feathering is dominant so if all of them lack leg feathering, both of the parents would too.......not an answer but a clue.

The one in picture 2 is just starting to get feathers on its feet actually! About three of the seven do, If you zoom in you can see some coming. I think they may be bantams as they're not much bigger then my 2 and a half week old plymouth rock and as you can see they are pretty covered in feathers

One parent has a rose comb and dark legs. Maybe a Hamburg?

Oh and there's a crest coming from somewhere. Maybe an araucana grandparent? Not a direct parent as there is no beard or pea comb. Both are dominant traits.

I don't think it's the result of a simple cross between pure parents somehow.

:laughing :laughing Love the crest! it looks more like an araucana crest than a silkie crest I think. But really no idea what breeds are in there. Like andrewschooks I think you have a whole heap of breeds there!.

i feel silly thinking they have welsummer in them now i've learnt so much since posting this thread rushed into posting a bit to quickly. they are definitely bantams and a mixed breed! sorry for the misinformation hard to help when you dont have the right information! Thanks Nelly i love his crest he's getting so much colour everywhere now haha!
