As a newbie any thoughts on the gender of my 3 x 5wk old Australorps please. Can sex my Plymouths easily but the Australorps :roll:

File comment: My basket of trouble. The chic in front of pic feathered out and developed tail feather alot quicker than the other 2 and is now mostly feathered where as the other 2 are behind.

Only guessing as I have no real idea, but I'm going to say the first chick is a boy, second and third are girls. With the possibility of the second chick (the one with it's eyes closed) being a boy also based on the group shot.

But like I said I have no idea, I can't even sex most of my own let alone anyone elses! lol.

I would say the first two are definite boys, the last is probably a boy! Hope I am wrong for your sake.

:aaah! Was so hoping the one with all the feathers is a pullet..Spent 2 nights and days nursing that one back from the brink..
