Just enquiring into the colour of this Saxony drake's head is he a crossbreed because it's very off colour wise? How is the colour of the females? Should they be darker buff? Thanks for your time!

Don't write the drake off yet if he is young he will take time to get his mature head colour.
At this time of year they also go into an eclipse moult & the drakes loose the correct head colour. None of our drakes are looking great at the moment either.
His bill colour is incorrect though. We have found that diet can affect this, do they get any corn in their feed? That will help the yellow bills stay correct.
The ducks look fine to me.

Thankyou Sir! We bought them yesterday the seller did let me know they where in moult I just wasnt aware saxonys changed so much. Even if his head doesn't come blue would I be able to get a drake with the right colours from this trio with a bit of work? They do have cracked corn in their grain mix but they get half grain mix half duck pellets. I'm not sure what they where eating before but I'll give them corn and putternut pumpkin for a while to and see if that helps appreciate the reply mate!
