I am not experienced with silkies,

if it laid the egg in the photo I would be suspicious it is a girl. :-)

Do you know how old?

Pretty sure its a "HE".
Sorry. I know how awful that can be. That is a very large comb and large wattles for 10 weeks.
On the plus side his comb is nice and dark.
