Stella wasn't being overly cooperative for her photo shoot, will try to get better ones tomorrow.

I am concerned about how large she is compared to the gold laced. She is very tall and she stand up fights the others a fair bit. Her feathering is all over the place (poor thing is pretty ugly at this point)....she was sold to me as a girl, but I just don't know.

This was her when I got her at approx 12 weeks

it was never a her, dark neck hackle like that in silver laced is usually male...

I have SLW.

Yes it is a male.

Crowing my lot it is usually in the 24-28 week range BUT you do get the odd earlier one,

The lady I bought them off was lovely and cooperative - happy to take back and refund or exchange. I will get a refund as I don't want another solitary young hen as she will likely get picked on by the others.....sad but at least he will be treated well.
